Sending a Virtual Shakas to Sally Fitzgibbons

Professional athlete, Sally Fitzgibbons, shares her experience of working with the Devika team to launch her website. Driven by her love of nature Sally has immersed her fans in a digital experience to educate people about the importance of ocean conservation, health and fitness, and the dynamic nature of marine ecosystems.

It seems only fitting to use a phrase commonly said by the legend herself, we’re stoked to share her thoughts on the collaboration!

“It has been great working with such a professional team like Devika” Professional Surfer Sally Fitzgibbons says.

Sally’s willingness to use emerging technology, including virtual reality, is helping to create immersive experiences to safeguard our natural wonders like the Great Barrier Reef. Unwavered by the challenge to push boundaries in her personal and professional life, the Sally Fitzgibbons and Devika collaboration emerged.

“We connected a few years back to collaborate on a VR project but at the same time Ken and the Devika team were concerned if I had any other technological problems.

“At that point my website was particularly unstructured and with errors and the team were able to transition the site from a previous developer and make improvements seamlessly,” Sally shares.

It’s been a pleasure to provide Sally Fitzgibbons and the team with technical support to ensure content, such as upcoming events and educational material, are readily accessible to her followers. We can well and truly relate to the struggles of a non-functioning website and what a relief it is when it works!

“Without my web presence being up to date and functioning my fans and social media followers aren’t able to connect with me the way I would like.

“Devika have put my mind at ease knowing they have this covered,” Sally explains.
